Manuel Romero's Funeral Expenses

All donations will be withdrawn by his Aunt, Danielle Duran-Thompson, into her personal account. She will be meeting with her sister, Samantha, in person to deliver the funds. This isn't easy to write... it still seems so unreal! He was only 19 years old! He was just beginning the next chapter in his life after graduating high school last year. He recently acquired a new place to call home, started his new business, and was building a future with his beautiful girlfriend of four years! The future was looking bright and full of promise for the two. He loved all who knew him and they loved him in return. He was full of life, always smiling, willing to help others, had a joking nature, great sense of humor, was kind and caring, and someone who held a special place in your heart even if you only met him once! In his younger years he was recognized for his outstanding baseball skills while playing at Treeview Little League in Hayward. Later years established a huge impact on those he met at the Tennyson "Skateboard" Park in Hayward; everyone knew him. He was known by his friends as “Gerbs”. He was a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, boyfriend, and friend... He was just a blessing to everyone's lives. Tragically all that joy he brought into this world was at a halt! Hearts now filled with sorrow when learned the life of Manuel L. Romero was stolen outside of his home by the result of multiple gunshot wounds on Saturday, July 9, 2017.
Yes he owned a licensed and registered medical marijuana delivery business! But he didn’t deserve to die! It's not what Manuel should be remembered by NOR did it have any part of the murder… Yes murder! Manual was simply walking out of his house to his car when he was gunned down. I’m only including this because I don’t want people jumping to conclusions or stereotyping the motive just because of his business! Manuel was a GOOD kid! He was establishing himself and following his dreams. Which at 19 years old he was doing much more for his future than other kids his age. He wasn’t doing anything wrong. And he wasn’t living a life of crime or illegal activity. He was a legitimate business man! He was a respected, young man, who brought good to his community, family, and friends. That is how he will be remembered…. Manuel was good!
Now although his soul is home with our Lord, Manuel's body still deserves a proper burial. His family and friends deserve the opportunity to provide this. But we can't do it alone. As you can imagine, the family wasn't prepared for this tragedy. Who plans for their child's funeral? Let alone - who imagines someone they loved would ever fall victim to murder? Which is why we're asking for help from not only those who knew him, but those his future was robbed from meeting... We are asking for any assistance in making this possible. No amount is ever too little. And every amount is deeply appreciated. As you find it in your heart to make a donation - we thank you with all of our hearts! And we give thanks to God for allowing Manuel’s spirit to touch another heart as he has touched so many of ours while in the flesh! Thank you in advance and GOD BLESS!
One last thing…. Manuel’s killer is still at large! Anyone who has information about Romero's killing is asked to call the sheriff's office at (510) [Telefonnummer bearbeitet]. Please assist us in seeking Justice for Manuel. Someone knows something… do the right thing and help bring forth the killer. Thank you!
