Friends 4 Keli

Donation protected
On August 5th, we lost our dear loving friend Keli Malinoski. Keli leaves behind her incredible husband, John, 4 loving children, Brooke (16), Steven (14), Maddie (10) and Ben (7), a mother, father, sister, and many, many friends. Her loss is felt by so many, but no one more than her immediate family.

I've started this page to try and help raise funds to make everyday expenses of having 4 children a little easier on John. John is a police officer and used to rely on his overtime pay to stay on track financially. Keli stayed home with the kids allowing John the opportunity to work the overtime, and with 4 kids, we all know how that extra pay is needed. Now, John has the added stress of making sure his kids are cared for while he is at work protecting the public.

Let me tell you a little about the 4 kids:
Brooke, she is a rock for John. There is truly a reason why God gave John and Keli Brooke as their 1st child. She is responsible, beyond her years, and loving, just like her mother. She has taken on responsibilities most kids her age never could even imagine, and she never complains.

Steven, a young boy with an incredible sense of humor! Steven is incredibly special. You see, he was chosen by John and Keli, he was adopted as an infant. They picked him, even knowing that he had cerebral palsy. They knew they could give him the love and support he needed to succeed! Today, Steven is a well adjusted young man with many friends!

Maddie is the spitting image of Keli. Looking at the photos of Keli at 10 years old is just like looking at Mattie. When Mattie smiles, which is often, it's just like seeing Keli smile at you. She is struggling with the loss of her mother, just as all the kids are, but Mattie is at an age where it's simply confusing.

Ben is a spitfire! Keli actually considered keeping him home for Kindergarten because she just didn't want to send him away for a few hours each day. I could understand this with the 1st child, but by the 4th, I would think you were kicking them out the door! Not Keli, she loved being a mother so much that she couldn't imagine not having at least one of them around at all times.

Keli had gastric bypass surgery 12 years ago, and unbeknownst to her and John, it was not done correctly. For 12 years, her organs were slowly being destroyed because they were not receiving the proper nutrients they required. 2 years ago, Keli started to have some health issues that the doctors were baffled by. By the time they figured it all out, it was too late and a husband lost his best friend and 4 kids were left without a loving mother to kiss them goodnight.

I've started this page with the intent of helping John and the kids. The money can be used by John however he wishes, whether it's to catch up on bills or even to plan a family vacation. The Malinoski family deserves some peace and joy, especially during the holidays. This will be their 1st holiday without Keli, and I pray that with your help, we can make it a little easier on them.
