Make juvenile T-rex, Tinker, a permanent exhibit

Donation protected
Dinosaur George operates a free natural history museum at Trader's Village-San Antonio, Texas, USA, a location that reaches children and families of diverse backgrounds and socio-economic levels. His company was founded with the commitment to making science accessible to all with free podcasts, affordable Zoom lessons, and a school outreach program that brings a mini-museum to schools and communities throughout the United States.

This year, Dinosaur George introduced the State of Texas to the juvenile Tyrannosaurus rex known as Tinker, with a limited-time exhibit. The 30-foot long display has wowed visitors and inspired youth to expand their knowledge of the world around them.

The museum loves having this exhibit so much that we'd like to purchase Tinker and keep it on display PERMANENTLY! Raised funds will be used to purchase the museum cast exhibit, build a display base, and keep the museum FREE for all.

ABOUT THE EXHIBIT:
The discovery of the first nearly complete juvenile/sub adult T. rex was recognized by paleontologist Dr. Robert Bakker as "one of the most scientifically significant and most exciting T. rex skeletons ever found”. Nicknamed “Tinker,” this juvenile Tyrannosaurus rex was discovered in 1998 in northwestern South Dakota. It is 2/3rds adult size but only 1/4th adult weight. In “people years”, Tinker was probably a young teenager, about 13 years old.

The only place in the United States to currently see this juvenile specimen, Tinker, the Teenage T-rex will be on display at the Dinosaur George Museum and Gift Shop located at 11th St. and Ave D. within Traders Village - 9333 SW Loop 410, San Antonio, TX 78242. Open to the public on weekends from 10:00am-5:00pm. Suitable for all ages. Museum admission is entirely free, but donations are accepted on-site or through Go Fund Me.
