Maggie & Pebbles are our friend Ray’s Fur Babies.
The last 5 months have not been good to him. In June he lost his mom after being her caregiver for several years. He then adopted her dog Pebbles. In July Pebbles got an infection and heart related issues that ultimately led to her front leg being amputated. It was touch and go for a while, but then Pebbles began to heal. She adjusted to having only three legs very well! But the vet bills began adding up. Unfortunately, Pebbles heart began going into failure, and a few weeks ago she passed away. At the same time, Ray's fur baby Maggie (who has her own FB page) got very sick. It was touch and go for a week. During this time is when he had to make the decision to put down Pebbles. Maggie is his pride and joy. To see him suffer while she fought for her life was very hard. And then Maggie turned the corner... she is now home with Ray! Due to both fur babies getting so sick, the vet bills have added up to well over 20K. We started this fund to surprise him, but had to tell him so we could get the Go Fund Me page to his friends. Those of us who have or had fur babies we love, know we would do just about anything to help them. Ray did just that!
