Mission Work In Mafia
We are working hard to accomplish the work God has given us on Mafia during this season.
The projects we currently have going on there are as follows:
1.) Teaching In The Schools: Elias, Hasani, and Jeremiah are teaching religion classes in the public schools five days a week. This is an incredible opportunity for us to impact the lives of the young people on Mafia.
2.) Evangelism To Muslims: Now that the teams form the U.S. are all almost gone a lot of the work of evangelism in now in the lap of our Tanzanian team. Pray for favor and for God to use them mightily as they talk to Muslims about Jesus.
3.) Construction On The Youth Center: This is our biggest project on the Island. This includes building a security wall, for which we have finished the foundation, and are currently making the bricks (x 12,000 pcs) to finish the wall itself. It also includes us clearing and making a soccer field, a basket court, and a volley ball court. Finally it also includes the building of an Auditorium, which will be used as an activities center for the highschool kids on the Island.

5.) Helping to Renovate Public Primary Schools On The Island.
With everything we have going on, we definitely need your help in partnering with us to see these projects finished. We are trying to raise about 21,000 USD. This will go to the following projects.
1. Establishing A Base On Mafia: $11,500
Moving the center of our operations to Mafia has incurred far more costs than any of us could have expected, due to the difficulty of getting vehicles, building materials, and items for our home to the Island and the high costs of purchasing items on the Island. This year we have had to set up house, set up an office, get the tools we need for ministry to the island, and making sure that our house is secure and safe. In all these aspects there is a lot that we still need to do and can only do it if we get help to do so.
2. Working With The Public Schools: $5,000
We want to have a presence in the Public Schools by helping to renovate student toilets, sending our national missionaries to teach the religion classes, and working to establish a soccer league between all the primary schools. However, again there are costs to do this. This is what we believe we will need to do what we need to with the school through the end of the year.
3.) Vehicle Expenses: $4,500
We have been busy upgrading our vehicles and doing repairs. We still need the mentioned amount in order to get them to the place we need them to be.
