Madden's Medical Mishap
Our pug Madden is an incredible joy in our life. She loves EVERYONE and is very trusting. Last Friday, she began having muscle tremors and vomiting. We rushed her to our vet. They began hydrating her and took an x-ray. Her stomach was 3 times its normal size. No obstruction was immediately seen and surgery was too risky as hypovolemic as she was. They prepared us for the worst, but we instead prayed for the best. The next morning she was stable enough for an ultrasound which showed a 3 inch long bowel obstruction. Surgery was immediate and now Madden is recovering slowly at home. We attempted to get dog insurance on her previously, but she did not qualify. This means we are looking at some major expenses to cover the emergency surgical and medical expenses. While praying for her life I never considered letting her go because of money. For those local I am willing to bake cookies and German cakes for donations of $20 and $50 respectively. For anyone else, thank you for any help you can offer!
*UPDATE* Also for theose local... Mom is willing to make her famouse eggrolls at a $1 per eggroll, so that is $20 for 20 delicious rolls! We will be making them this week and weekend as well.
