Growing up in Australia being one of nine brothers had it's share of difficulties. I have seen many of my peers go through hardship and get into trouble due to not having the mentoring and support they needed. It is my mission to be that support person for many teenagers and young children who are going through challenging times and help them create a great future for themselves.
I have created a program called MVP. Which stands for Mindset - Vision - Purpose. This funding will allow me to go into schools, speak with the welfare departments and take 10 students through the program. Each student will be monitored and guided to improving their health, self-esteem and future, but most of all I want to help them with their mental health and wellbeing. A lot of these kids are growing up in bad enviroments where they are exposed to violence, drugs and alcohol. These exposures are causing them to spiral down the road that they are far better than. I want to be able to go in and work with these young kids and show them that they can be far better than what they think they can be. To give them a strong mindset that will allow them to have a positive vision of their future, to have purpose in life.
This funding will allow us to purchase exercise equipment, bring in great mentors and spend maximal time with each group as a trusted mentor.
Our goal is to take 40 kids through our program in the next 12 months and to reach more each year.
