The M.M.R Hose Co. Fire & EMS Explorer Post #343 is a locally based nonprofit organization that falls under the Boy Scouts of America and is sponsored by the Marion, Mattapoisett and Rochester Fire Departments.
Our program targets the young adults in our three communities (ages 14-18) to help teach them fire and life safety skills in a high school fire academy setting.
This program was also designed to help the ongoing problem of recruiting and retaining more on-call firefighters and emergency medical service providers for our communities.
As of right now the post is being funded by the Rochester, Mattapoisett and Marion Firefighter’s Associations along with generous donations at local fundraising events. We are seeking any monetary donation possible to help organize and run the program further which includes buying equipment and supplies needed to successfully run the program and sponsoring trips to historical museums and off site locations for trainings.
Any and all donations will be greatly appreciated and will help support run this program for years to come.
