THE EVENT: Screwball Rally 18-23 Sept 2019
THE DRIVERS:
Gadge Grocott - Ex RN and HMP, Currently Train Driver with GTR
Graham Pittaway - Ex Army and HMP, Medically Retired.
THE CAR: Mazda MX5 MK1 1.8si
PURCHASE PRICE: £400.00
RESTORATION COST £Shed Loads
THE ROUTE: Ashford to Strasbourg Strasbourg to Bern Bern to Morvan Morvan to Luxemburg Luxemburg to Calais. The Fundraising will finish at the Mission Motorsport, RACE FOR REMEMBERANCE weekend 8-10 November, the car will be in attendance.
WHY MISSION MOTORSPORT? We discussed various charities and the pros and cons of each, Gadge was aware of the work Mission Motorsport do as they are currently working with a good friend of his. Another work colleague organises an annual Karting Event for the charity and a large number of us attend the Army (Fiji) Navy Rugby each year with Veterens who have and are benefitting from the Charities work.We visited their headquarters, met some fantastic and committed people, who genuinely care about our Veterans. They are open, honest and helpful and I speak for both of us when I say we will endeavour to assist them in anyway we can.
OUR AIM is to persuade you to give us money, ALL of which will go to the Charity. Nothing donated will go towards the car, the running costs, entry fees or accommodation, ALL monies raised are to help Mission Motorsport continue its amazing work. Please donate as much or as little as you can, if you would like your company logo on the car, which will be seen by 1000's please let us know.
