My name is Marie-Lynn. I’m a 20-year-old student in nutrition and dietetics, living with my sister and two cats in the heart of Antwerp, Belgium. I was diagnosed with a rare disease in 2011: Friedreich’s Ataxia. A progressive muscular disease that attacks the nervous system, comparable to the well known disease MS. My whole life changed in ways it shouldn’t at such a young age, but it made me who I am today. When battling a disease without a cure, you’re always researching new things that may help the prognosis. I came across Trainm on Facebook and immediately reached out to them. I’d love to try this innovative neuromodulation therapy. Using robots, it comes with a high price tag. I’m willing to try everything for a better wellbeing and life in general.

I thrive of indepence, which I lack in my daily life. I hope I’ll be more independent after Trainm therapy. Because in the end, I’m only human and I still have dreams and future plans. I’m not able to live up to my own expectations at the physical state I’m in right now.
