My name is Kevin Smith, I'm the President of TWU Local 525 in Florida. I represent the employees of Swissport at Orlando International Airport. On October 6th, two of TWU Local 525's newest members were involved in a terrible accident at Orlando International in Florida. The specifics of the accident are still under investigation but in the meantime, Kevin and Alexix are suffering from life altering burns suffered while unloading an aircraft.

During the operation, a can-loader malfuntioned and engulfed both employees in flames. Kevin was burnt severely on the face, hands and legs suffering 1st, 2nd and 3rd degree burns as well as a broken leg suffered while jumping to safety.
Lost time for him will be paid at 60% of their normal wages. Anything collected will his family during this difficult time. These funds will be used to offset his losses during his absence from work and will be used to help his family pay bills during this difficulet time.
When needed, Kevin shall enter the account and withdraw the amount of funds necessary to help his family. These funds will not be available to anyone other than Kevin.
