Support For Lyra ReAnn and Family

Little Lyra (pronounced lie-rah) just couldn't wait to meet her mom and dad! At 26 weeks preterm labor had begun, by 27 weeks it was time to be flown to a hospital equipped to care for such an itty bitty baby's arrival, and by 28 weeks she decided she had waited long enough and it was time for her arrival!

Mom and dad (Nicole and Kelsey) were flown out of Williston to Billings almost immediately after a Dr. apt on Wednesday, August 2nd cofirmed bulging membranes and that preterm labor had begun. Doses of Magnesium Sulfate began in Williston while they waited for their flight to arrive - a drug that can be given up to a max of 48 hours that slows contractions and would hopefully keep mom pregnant as long as possible.  Although a great drug at doing its job, it also can take a toll on mom and many adjustments were made in those 48 hours to find a dose that was strong enough to keep contractions under control, yet weak enough to prevent toxicity to mom. With that being said, Wednesday night was ROUGH, Thursday night was better, FriDAY was great, and by Friday night/Saturday morning contractions were in full force. Another dose of another medication was given around 3:15 am that morning that failed 100% to do its job and contractions continued 5-10 minutes apart from about 1:30 am til about 8:00 am when the doctors decided there was no way this baby was going to stay put any longer. Saturday, August 5th at 8:55 am (Montana time), their little (2 pounds, 11.5 ounces) surprise baby (It's a girl! And so very much full of surprises!) made her grand arrival! <3

The NICU at St. Vincent's will be Lyra's home up until sometime around her due date, October 27th. During her stay, mom and dad's new home will be at the Ronald McDonald house across the street from the hospital. During her stay, all of Lyra's expenses will hopefully be covered by her insurance, however mom and dad are required to pay $25 per day for their stay at their new home away from home. In addition to all their normal bills back home and now with both mom and dad being off work for quite some time so they can care for and spend as much time as possible with their little girl, any help of any sort would be tremendously appreciated. This GoFundMe page has been sent up as a convenient way to help, but contributions can also be sent directly to their home address - 1905 19th Ave. W - Williston, ND 58801, or feel free to stop by the Post Office and pay Nicole's mom a visit :)

Thank you in advance for helping out in any way you're capable of <3
