LyfeSavers Fundraiser

Donation protected
Hi Family/Friends

I started this Go Fund me page in honor of my sister-friend Trina Isaac and Colon Cancer awareness month.  She has a strong will for life and a very strong commitment to MMOP (Making Memories on Purpose) project.  The Lyfesavers project is very dear to her heart.

Please take a moment and read her story and view the attached video of one of the Lyfesavers Cancer warrior's story above.

Thanks to Milton Lawrence and the Lyfesavers Project Trina has been able to make memories on purpose all while inspiring  and encouraging other cancer warriors . The Lyfesavers Project has been a gift of love by a group of talented, videographers, makeup artist, hairstylist, and wardrobe stylist all collaborating to capture and archive the memories of cancer warriors and survivors By giving a generous donation, this will allow the Lyfesavers project to create more memories for cancer warriors and survivors.   I am asking that you help me give another warrior a voice by donating to the Lyfesavers Project in honor of Colon Cancer Awareness month . We are asking for donations in the amonunt of $20 but all donations are truly appreciated.

Trina Isaac journey:
While working out for a marathon in April 2012, I noticed my energy was down and my brain and body were in two different places. I noticed a substantial weight loss which concerned me. I headed over to my occupational health department to seek help. This was the day that started the change of my life. There were cultures taken only to find a concerning amount of blood in my stool. I was wheeled to the emergency room. I was referred to a gastrointestinal doctor for a colonoscopy. It was result day that changed my life forever. The words, "Mrs. Isaac you have a tumor in your colon and it is cancer". Within weeks I was on to my first surgery a H Laprasocopic lower bowel resection; removing a substantial portion of my colon. During my hospital stay I was told you have stage III colorectal cancer based on pathology. After healing from surgery, I started my first round of chemo for six months. Nearing the end of chemotherapy, scans showed the cancer had spread to my pelvic area. This was a setback which forced me into radiation and chemotherapy. I completed 25 rounds of radiation therapy only to be told my cancer had spread again. My doctor said “your cancer has spread to your stomach and peritoneal area”. This means my cancer is metastatic and stage IV. My doctor’s words, “you will have to do chemo for the rest of your life to give you longer life you are inoperable”. MY words, “I am not doing chemo for the rest of my life I believe GOD”. I continued on with chemotherapy and within 5 months there were detection of more tumors on scan. The tumors responded to the chemotherapy. What was next was the best part of my testimony. I met with a surgeon who did not want to take my case because of my many recurrences with my cancer. God intervene and she took my case based on my determination to live for my son. On November 13, 2013 changed my life forever, this was the day I received my colostomy. It has been challenging however I will be forever grateful to have it because it brings me one step closer to beating cancer. Although, I am on a clinical trial as my cancer had spread to my liver. as I still believe God's master plan for my life. I truly believe God is breathing life in me to be a blessing to someone else.

My Determination
I believe that your mind and spirit can heal your soul. I am determined to live my life to the fullest and breathe in all aspects of the good parts of life. I believe there is Strength in Stilettos and I plan to walk through this journey called cancer with my head held high and in my stilettos. This colostomy does not define me, it encourages me to keep pushing and along the way give a push to someone else that may need it. I have cancer it does not have me.
