On Saturday morning February 24, James Jones and his wife Vickie were involved in a horrific car accident. James is currently recovering at Baylor Scott & White hospital in Dallas but they have a long journey ahead of them.
Right after the accident James was taken into surgery and his right leg was amputated just above the knee. He also had some minor injuries to his left leg. As expected, Vickie was in a state of shock at the time and concerned for James only. She has since been treated for back/neck pain and is also recovering.
It is an absolute miracle that James and Vickie are still here with us. For those of us who know James, it is no surprise to hear that he is still smiling and spreading his positivity through all of this. In true James fashion, he is the one who is smiling the biggest, laughing the loudest and trying to make it easier for others to cope with the accident as he faces life as an amputee. James’ positive energy, outlook and personality continue to inspire and remind us all to be better people and focus on the blessings in life. Even from the hospital bed, James has been pointing out how this accident has brought out so much love and kindness in everyone.
The Jones family has been amazed with messages of prayer, love and support, all of which are greatly appreciated.
