<div>On Saturday April 6, 2024 I was awakened by a disturbing phone call. My brother and nephew had to be extracted from his apartment while it was engulfed in flames. Marcus and Luke Clayton are currently in critical condition and fighting for their lives please keep us in your prayers. They can hear me speaking to them but so far the responses are limited. Since the incident my brother has lost his home, his ability to work, and may not even recognize himself when God decides to open his eyes. Marcus is the only blood relative that I’ve known since being adopted as toddlers. We will forever be indebted to the heroic Firefighters who forcefully entered the burning apartment as soot erupted. Thanks to Cindy, the Firefighters of Phoenix were able to literally breathe life into their lifeless bodies giving Marcus and Luke a fighting chance. As an avid fan of Superman, I’m sure my brother can appreciate the irony of actually being rescued. Now that the smoke has cleared, my only goal is to provide the best recovery possible. Today I am visiting the apartment to salvage what I can from their old lives, start planning the rehabilitation process, and establishing a future for them. Being that my kids and I are the only family that my brother has, commuting between Florida and Arizona will be extremely difficult but I have to show him that he is loved and has support. Marcus Clayton is a United States Navy Veteran from Florida who has been perusing his career in Phoenix, AZ since graduating from college post military. When his only child Luke was born fatherhood became everything to my brother. We’re not strong until Luke and Marcus are strong. Help us become Luke and Marcus STRONG.
