Luke and Ella - Info is Beautiful Trip to UK/EU

Dear friends and lovers of information, beauty, art, philosophy and family... and my and Ella's work in the world...

Thanks for everyone who has helped make some magic possible, by contributing to a super-charged trip to London and Berlin in 3-23 November. We have booked the cheap flights, are are heading over!!

I'd love to be there in London (very significant global award, and awesome networking opportunity for all my Ideas Whispering work).

And to super-charge the international trip, I will head over to BERLIN to pursue some artistic opportunities (music and art happenings) and next steps in publishing my philosophical projects (to meet with Donata Schoeller, a leading international scholar of philosophy of living process and embodied thinking).

I'm also wishing to take my partner in crime, creativity and regenerative culture ELLA ROSE GONINAN, who will connect with the best of community renewable energy projects in the UK and Germany (with her COREM, Community Power Agency and Renew Fest hats on). For those who know her, you know what she is about, and this will also be an epic birthday gift (her birthday serendipitously coincides with the trip).

The Information is Beautiful event (London) is a highly prestigious and significant global networking opportunity for my ideas whispering work around visuals, story telling and complex system mapping. There are 3 judged awards per category, and I'm in the 'Leisure, Games & Sport' section with 10 short-listed entries, so I have already a 30% chance of an award, but see what you think: https://www.informationisbeautifulawards.com/showcase/3913-all-the-ways-of-winning-in-sports. 

~ ~ ART + PERFORMANCE ~ ~

I will be able to accept the invitation to create site-specific work for a sound and performance art project (Berlin), hosted by ex-pat Aussie artist Stephen Russell. Stephen is a long-term friend and colleague from Brisbane/QUT days. I'll pursue options for one or two piano gigs in London and Berlin as well.

~ ~ PHILOSOPHY ~ ~

I will also visit Donata Schoeller (Berlin), the most important scholar currently in the world of Eugene Gendlin (recently passed) whose philosophy of Living Process I have been deeply studying for five years. Gendlin is one of the few Western philosophers to make living (rather than being, or existing) to be the central topic. There is significant publication and workshop co-presentation opportunities for me long-term with Donata and her various university partners, and meeting in person is an important next step.

While I'm there I can see my father who lives in London and who I haven't seen for several years.

~ ~ BIRTHDAY LOVE + INTERNATIONAL CONNECTIONS FOR ELLA ~ ~

And as part of this, I want to take my woman and key collaborator Ella Rose Goninan... She is an activist and artist in her own right will make this adventure worthy of the flights by linking in with those driving the community energy movement on-the-ground in UK and Germany. And it is her birthday on the 6th November, so your contribution to her is going to be a beautiful communal gift.

WHAT THE FUNDS WILL BE USED FOR

I would be absolutely over the moon if you would donate to help make this happen! This crowd-funding campaign will cover travel expenses (flights, ground travel and other costs) to get to London and Berlin from the Gold Coast (near where we live in Mullumbimby), spanning three weeks from early November:

LONDON-BERLIN flights/ground travel (2 adults) = $400
