Lil' Lucy Needs Surgery

Hey everyone...  Meet Lil' Lucy, she is my "baby" and I rescued her from going to the animal shelter when she was barely 6 weeks old.   She has been my ever faithful companion through so many ups and downs of life.  And over the past 2 years when life got so challenging, she was there every morning to make sure I got out of bed.   A week ago, I discovered a small tumor (by sheer luck) just above her upper gum line and we saw the vet today.   Without extraction, there is no way for sure to know if it is indeed cancer, but the vet, Dr. McCoy at Nasa Pet Hospital, was extremely concerned based on the location and texture of the tumor.  The surgery will be somewhat invasive and he will have to take about 2 cm of her upper jaw line around the area to ensure that he does not have to go back in.   What he does extract will then be sent off for lab work to determine if it is malignant or not.  The surgery + meds and xrays will cost $1800.  Dr. McCoy has assured me that she will not have any issues eating as a result of the surgery nor will you be able to even notice a difference looking at her face.  If it is cancer, then we deal with that when the time comes, but for right now, this is her best chance while we pray that it is not cancerous and the surgery will be all she needs.

I hesitate to even ask right at Christmas time... I know so many people need so much more... but if you have a soft spot for dogs, or have met Lil Lucy in person or know her from her instagram account @Lucys_tales     ,even a small amount would help Lucy have this surgery and potential save her life.  If you can help, I thank you from the bottom of my heart and if you can't help... I completely understand! It is not my desire to put anyone in a bind or feel guilty by this ask.  If you can not help, then maybe you could share this page instead! :) But, if you would like to help and can... As of right now, the surgery is scheduled for Jan 11 on faith.
