Since Lucky was a little girl she has always had a kind heart and an optimistic attitude. She is still that same person today. When it comes to donating to charities and participating in fundraisers she gives from her wallet and from her heart. As a child Lucky was always the one to pair up with children she thought might not get picked for a partner and kept her eye out for anyone in need of a friend. She never had a hurtful thought towards anyone and if you ask her how she feels about recently losing her beautiful long healthy hair, she’ll tell you, “Its much cooler now”.
In April of this year Lucky after not feeling well for several weeks and suffering with back pain, she was diagnosed with a cancer called Multiple Myeloma. Multiple Myeloma is where cancerous myeloma plasma cells proliferate and crowd out normal plasma cells and etch away areas of bones. Lucky’s blood results showed that 90% of her blood is cancerous and she immediately began aggressive treatments and blood transfusions. In addition to long hospitalizations, bouts with pneumonia, and chemotherapy Lucky will undergo reconstructive surgery to repair lost bone. She has a very long road ahead of her with this fight against cancer.
This webpage was developed because the financial burden cancer puts on patients is overwhelming. We know there are many people just like Lucky who are there to help. Lucky fights every day for energy and comfort and battles pain and fears of the unknown. If you would like to donate to help Lucky pay for her cancer treatment, your donation is greatly appreciated. Please post and share stories, thoughts and prayers for Lucky.
