In Loving Memory of Michael Anderson

Anyone who ever met Michael Anderson will remember him not only for his flaming red hair, but also for his hilarious sense of humor, wild adventures, and deep love for his family and friends.
On July 19, 2014, Michael (a.k.a. Ando) lost his courageous, ten-year battle with a brain tumor. He leaves behind his beautiful wife, Amber, their two sons, Logan (11) and Kai (9), and their family dog, Shifty (2).
In true Ando style, he did not want a funeral; instead, he hoped that those who wanted to think about him would go to the water and do something he loved: surf, boogie board, wakeboard, paddleboard or swim. On behalf of his family, they plan to honor his wishes and encourage you to pay your respects to Michael this way.
Michael and Amber have such a huge network of friends and family across the globe who deeply care about them and their family. I have set up this account to help keep Michael’s spirit alive and to support Amber, Logan, and Kai during this difficult time. With the help of your generous donations, my hope is to allow Amber some time to concentrate on her boys during this time of grief and ease the worry about immediate expenses.
Due to Michael's deteriorating health during these past couple of years, the family was unable to focus on work or travel back to the U.S. With our collective support, perhaps Amber can take the boys on a trip to the U.S. to spend some time with family and friends, to honor Michael with a fun adventure, and in the future, to aid the boys with their education as they continue to grow.
Thank you all for your help as we keep Michael’s spirit alive and show our love and support for Amber and the boys. All donations will go directly to Amber, Logan, and Kai.
