CLOVER'S FUND

JUNE 2014...
I started looking for a therapy dog for our then, 4 year old Autistic son, Nathanial, to help with his social pragmatic delays.

OCT/NOV 2014...
Since, our family believes in the very literal meaning of "every boy needs a dog," it was kismet that connected our lives to that of a female yellow Lab name Clover.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH CLOVER, YOU ASK?

THANKSGIVING BREAK 2014...
It started with a limp...

JAN 2015 (NEWPORT BEACH, CA)...
I met with Dr. George Katcherian, a canine orthopedic surgeon in Newport Beach.  Dr. K confirmed that Clover had a complete tear in her left "cranial cruciate ligament" (a.k.a. the ACL in humans).

PROGNOSIS (without surgery)...
Without surgery, Clover's quality of life will deteriorate. Eventually, she will completely lose the use of her back legs. CLOVER IS FAMILY and we don't leave family behind.

PROGNOSIS (with surgery)...
Dr. K recommended that Clover have a Tibeal Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO) procedure done on each knee.  Once she has this surgery she will not have to have it again. Clover will have MORE THAN A 90% chance of full mobility.

Thank you for taking the time to read "Clover's Story."

FEEL FREE TO PASS THIS ON!

MUCH LOVE (AND "TAIL WAGGING")
