Tetris' Femoral Head Ostectomy

Tetris started limping and meowing in pain two weeks ago after an episode where his back legs went stiff and he fell over paralyzed from the waist down for a few seconds. We were alarmed and extremely concerned, so we took him to see a neurologist at Sage Veterinary Centers (where Julie works). The neurologist diagnosed him with an inflamed disc in the lumbar region of his spine and gave directions of strict kennel rest and medication three times a day for 4-6 weeks. We also took him to the physical therapist and learned some contouring exercises to do and purchased an electro-stimulation loop for his back. It has now been 2 weeks and no real improvement has been made. He has trouble getting up and his efforts result in meowing and hissing in pain. He will need to have an MRI done in a couple weeks and surgery. Thankfully Julie works at Sage and is able to get a discount, but surgery is still going to be around $3,000 (not to mention the cost of an MRI around $1,200). Tetris is only 2 years old and has his whole life in front of him and Julie and I want to make sure his life is full and wonderful as it should be. Please help us extend Tetris' life for years to come. Thank you!
