Have you ever heard that someone close to you has gone through a major tragedy and the distance is so far away, and you think there is nothing you can do? Today is the day you can do something.
When Hurricane Irma landed in SW Florida, Lora lost everything. She is like the sister I didn’t have growing up and blessed me with my Godson, Skyler who’s 9yrs old. As a single Mom with a part-time job, she has had ups and downs, but her persistence and determination just started getting her back on her feet. Like others in Florida, she went to a shelter for the hurricane and when she returned to her home at first she couldn’t even get to her home due to the water. When she finally arrived two days later it looked like a can opener opened the roof of her house and now her house is uninhabitable and lost everything. She thought she was covered with insurance but even after the large deducticle nothing is covered 'inside' the home. It’s going to be a long hard road back, please help to rebuild, any contribution would be helpful.
