Love for Lexi

First of all we want to say THANK YOU!  The love and generosity that has been shown to our family has been humbling.  There are not enough thank yous in the world to let you all know how grateful we are to have such loving and giving people in our lives. Alexis “Lexi” Pisca is a vibrant, energetic 8 year old, who will turn 9 on July 5th.  She is a sweet little girl that can bring a smile to anyone’s face.  She loves to dance on the Wii, read, do crafts, and play with her friends.  On April 30, 2014 she was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia, life has become a whirlwind of events for her and her family since that day.  Cancer is no stranger to this family as Lexi’s mother is an 8 year breast cancer survivor herself. As for an update on Lexi, she is doing well.  She continues to have weekly chemotherapy along with blood draws and spinal taps but through it all maintains her spirited personality, her ecstatic laugh, and some occasional “opera” singing!  Her energy level is continually improving and along with her parents and older brother she keeps an upbeat positive outlook on life!  Although she still has a long, rough road ahead, together with her family and friends she will beat cancer!
