My Mother Lakisha Delgado was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma in Early 2015 which added on to her list of health problems. Hodgkins Lymphoma is a type of cancer that targets a persons lymphatic system; a portion of the body's immune system that helps the body fight off infections.
My Mom began her chemo therapy in september 2015. My family prayed that she would get stronger but it only made her weaker and and On June 3rd 2016 at 3:12 am she passed away at the young age of 38in Monterfiore Hospital after a week long battle for her life.
My grandmother (my mothers mother) Elizabeth Sherrills Has been so desperately trying to gather the money for my mother's wake and burial despite My Great Grandmothers (Her Mother) passing in April but our funds are low and My Mothers insurance policy wont cover all the expenses and her burial continues to get pushed back.
My mother had 3 children that loves Her very much. My younger twin sisters Nevaeh & Ka-Shante (6 years old) and I Destiny (19 years old). As her eldest I just want to see my mother put away nicely and for her body to rest in peace. My Family And I Are Very greatful for anyone willing to give forth and will ask God to bless everyone who lends an kind Heart to us. We would like to meet our goal before Friday June 17th, 2016 If we can't come up with the remainder of money My Mothers body will no longer be able to be kept by the funeral home and she'll have to be cremated My family and I are trying very hard for that not to Happen.
