Reprinting "Logan's Story"

I can’t believe that it has been 10 years since my dad passed away.  We have had many highs and lows during this time, but we feel so glad to have such great memories of dad to carry forward.  When he passed away I was 7 years old, and I was afraid I would lose the memories that I had of him so I started writing down the things I wanted to remember. This process helped me document my memories and remember things about his illness that helped me work through my grief.  With the help of my neighbor, Mary Moye-Rowley, we published “Logan’s Story” as a way to help other kids who have experienced the loss of a loved one.  Over the past 10 years we have provided thousands of children, health care providers, hospice organizations, bereavement councilors and childrens’ bereavement camps with copies of “Logan’s Story”.  I recently spoke to the children at Camp Embracing Memories about my experience with losing my dad and how I found ways to work through the pain of losing my dad. Not only do these types of opportunities give me a chance to reflect on my experience, it reminds me that there are so many other children’s who are struggling with a similar experience. After providing 50 books to the campers of this unbelievable bereavement camp, we are now out of books. I would like your help in raising $5,000 so that we can print 1,000 more books.
