Good evening. 




First and foremost We want to show my appreciation to those that have shown us the utmost support since our soft launch in early September.

The magnitude of love and encouragement was exactly what we needed to ensure us we were on the right track with what we were looking to do for our community . Now in the couple months of our operation we face a period of time in which at the request of the property owner we were asked to do the necessary renovation to facilitate in the space and keep up with our demand And at their request and consideration for the safety of the public we chose to close our doors for a short period of time to do these renovations.


Now in the midst of us having this done we asked if there could be some lenience as far as us covering the expense of our rent to make up for lose of business and the expense of the renovation. Unfortunately for us the property owner made the decision to decline our request but Despite this response to our request we decided to still steer the course in hopes we would be able to continue to serve our community despite the added pressure to appease to the owner of the property . A few days into the re opening of our location the property owner began to send us messages as a reminder that if we could not cover our rent in its entirety despite our period of lack of business  and renovation expense he would shut down our operation.


Now communication has always served as a means to find middle ground so we communicated that we would try our best but would need to remain open to cover the rent and our overhead expenses . The end of the month came and we reached out in hopes the property owner would have had a change in mind but these attempts resulted in no response. Last Saturday during one our busiest days we’ve had thus far since our opening the property owner physically came into our location and asked us to shut down threatening to cut our power and change the locks should we not follow his request . We believe in civil conduct so at his request we finished our orders and decided to shut down without disputing to avoid raising concerns for our customers. 


In the midst of a pandemic we’ve seen many operations close their doors after several years of serving their community and despite this happening we decided to go fourth and execute on an idea that would help improve the lives of those in our community. Unfortunately Due to us starting our operation after march 1st which is the date the criteria states for eligibility we weren't eligible for the many forms of relief given to existing businesses who were operational prior to the announcement of the pandemic . Despite not falling into the criteria we made the decision to Invest our own capital in hopes we'd find middle grounds with a property owner that would also still like to conduct business despite the events that have taken place. 


Since we closed our doors last weekend we’ve several attempts to get our property manager to understand the difficulty in operating in light of the situation but have been met with opposition each time and has refused to have the conversation to reach a middle ground leaving very little options in terms of us reopening our doors . We wanted to hold off on communicating these issues until after a resolution was reached  but with the amount of questions and concerns we’ve received we felt we might be letting down our community not communicating the obstacles were currently facing .


We’d like to ask those of you who still support us to bare with us as we reach a solution to continue on our promise to improve the lives of those in our community . We would also like to ask our community to contribute any sort of resource wether it be paralegal help or financial assistance so we can fully resolve this issue and once again open our doors to serve our community.
