For those of you that know me, know that I don’t ask for anything that I can or even can’t provide for myself. Some people call it begging and sometimes I do too when I feel like it is being used as an occupation. I am now asking you to Please donate to help someone I love dearly, my baby brother Rev Lloyd Scott and family who lives in Port Arthur, Texas. Their lives have been impacted tremendously by Hurricane Harvey and need help immediately. He is always helping others and now he needs our help. All donations will go directly to him.
He said, “My personal pain is nothing like my pastoral burden, I lost all vehicles and my house & the church flooded. My tears are for our members and the city in need of help, and I can't respond like I usually do".
"A Shepherd's Heart"
Port Arthur, Texas received a double whammy. With much concern, on August 29th 2017, I tried to reach my brother by phone around 12 am. He didn’t answer then shortly afterwards he called me. The water was now in his one-level home and rising. He said, "they had no choice but to stay there thru the night", which alarmed me. What if it keeps rising? I asked? He said, "there was nowhere to go and no way to get out without a boat". They were rescued early that morning by some angels in a boat from Louisiana. He looked back and realized his loss. He and his family were taken to a shelter, and then they had to be moved to another location because that shelter started to flood.

Rev. Lloyd Scott is the pastor of Eastern Star Baptist Church in Port Arthur. Over 80% of Port Arthur was under water. He is not only experiencing personal losses, he’s enduring pastoral burden as well. Normally being an aid to everyone he pastors, he is stuck in a position where he is left helpless but still praying. Monies will be spent to replace their cars, home suppies and damage so that they can return home.
As a former airline stewardess, they taught us to put the oxygen mask on ourselves first so that we were able to save lives and as soon as Lloyd Scott has his oxygen tank on/filled, he will be able to administer it to others. The photo is my sister Faye and I with his family at his church anniversary a few years ago. I know you have seen enough of the flood pictures via internet. Thanking you in advance.
