Liz's Mission Trip

Since starting my job at the seminary God has began to highlight to me other cultures and has blessed me with friends from all over the globe. Meeting these friends
began to open my heart to understand more about how Jesus is loving people all over the world.

One family that has been an example to us, as they loved the international community, will be moving long term to the country of Georgia this year. They have invited me to join with them on a trip this spring to Georgia and other closed places, particularly focusing on prayer for the region. Initially I was hesitant, but the Lord in His grace has swung all doors open. I was given the days off work and blessed as I go,
encouraged by friends that they would help with the kids, and supported by Andrew that he sensed this was the Lord's leading. The last piece to complete is trusting the Lord for
His provision for the finances to go.

 On April 18-28, I will join my friend and team from their church in Oklahoma and we will go. While in there we will spend time praying with and loving on the ladies at Tarna's home (a home for women rescued from abusive homes and prostitution) , encourage and pray with local pastors, share the love of Jesus with the unreached people, and many other things. We will travel to the country of Georgia where we get to visit the House of Prayer and Teen Challenge. (These are powerful ministries that have played a part in our families
lives, and I am excited to encourage and be with them in the country of Georgia). I am overjoyed that I will get to join my friend and pray over the area that her family will call
home permanently at the end of this year. I know the Lord will do many more things,including bringing transformation to me. I look forward to following up with you about all that will happen.

I share all this with you because I covet your prayers for myself,the team, and the people we will minister to. The most important thing you can do is pray for our team and the Azeri people. Pray that God would prepare and strengthen our team in love.Pray that the Azeri people's hearts would be softened to hear the gospel and receive Jesus love for them.
