98% match for our sons bone marrow transplant donor was diagnosed with the same illness on July 08 2013, fewdays later July 14 2013 our baby boy passed away from this deadly illness at the Childrens Hospital in Los Angeles CA. we went home to Guam on July 25 2013 to bury our son which took place on the August 03 2013 soon after we started prepping for the bone marrow drive which took place on August 25 & 26 2013 and we owe it all to Dr. Shieh who coordinated and purchased all that was needed, we had 700 participants it wasn't what we expected but overall we did good then on August 30 2013 we left our three daughters with our siblings/families to care for them while we flew back to Los Angeles CA. praying that we could get started on the treatment and transplant, we arrived in LA and she was having regualr weekly visits and testings for the next several weeks then came October 01 2013 results from her biopsy shows it progressed to Acute Myeloid Leukemia Dr.Sun immediately admitted Alyssa so we checked into the hospital and  started chemotherapy on
October 02 2013, the chemotherapy lasted 10 days. Somehow while waiting for her cells to rise she became very sick and was rushed into Pediatric Intensive Care Unit for 29 days fighting for dear life every second of the day, Thank Jesus our baby girl continued to be in remission, just then we were told two VP shunts were needed to be implanted on both left and right ventricals to continue the drainage of fluids in her head, on Thanksgiving Day November 27 2013 she was transferred to 4East Unit where she started to show signs of being herself again, the doctors then transferred her to 6North Unit for theraphy and she stayed in for two weeks and three days, our daughter was released on New Years Day January 01 2014, once she was released we continued follow ups with Dr. Sun then started moving forward to the Bone Marrow Transplant testings and treatments finally on March 12 2014 she was admitted to the BMT Unit soon after on the March 19 2014 she undergone her Transplant and has been progressing better everyday, we have both been unemployed since the illnesses of both our children and with all our prayers Our Lord has continuously showered our daughter with many blessings, and in his name we continue to pray, Amen. Thank you Lord Jesus,Amen.
