Help With Lilly's Failing Heart

Donation protected
One month ago, Lilly Moyer was on top of the world. She was finishing her junior year in the nursing program at Gonzaga University. She was on the Dean’s List. She bought her first beater car, and had her first house with 3 other nursing students. Then her congenital heart defect (first detected when she was 10) started getting worse.

Since the age of ten, Lilly has been monitored and has taken drugs to treat her congenital heart defect. We knew some day she would probably need heart surgery, but were hoping that would be in her 30s or 40s. But, a month ago, she started getting short of breath and her heart started hurting, and her doctors decided the time for the heart surgery is now. She will have an aortic valve replacement on June 5th at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane, Washington.  She will be in ICU for a day, and remain in the hospital for 4 to 7 days.

Your donation will be used to cover doctor bills, insurance co-pays, travel costs, cardiac rehab, and to possibly help her finish her senior year. Last summer she worked two jobs in order to afford college. This year, she hopes she can work toward the end of the summer (if she has the strength) so she can still graduate and  become a nurse.

She has already accrued thousands of dollars of bills in pre-surgery- echocardiograms, MRIs, ultrasounds, and consulting bills.

Your donation would be greatly appreciated, as well as your wishes and prayers on June 5th for a successful surgery and full recovery.
