Lilly Lou's Zipper Fund

Lilly was diagnosed in August with Chiari Malformation, with is a neurological disorder. A condition in which brain tissue extends into the spinal canal.  In other words it means that her skull is a little too small for the size of her brain. There isn't a cure, just a surgery to help ease symptoms.

In the last year she has made HUGE improvements developmentally. She has started speaking, walking, running, jumping...it has been so fun to watch.  Jessica and Jeff thought that they would be able to push back this part for at least a few years. But in the last few months, her symptoms have become painful for her and heartbreaking for them. Lilly is now suffering from a constant headache, pressure behind her right eye, ringing in her ears and back pain. She is having a difficult time sleeping or even letting us brush her hair.  It has come to the time that they have been dreading....surgery. 

The Lokatz family has insurance but it is coming with a pretty hefty out of pocket cost. Sadly, they just don't have it and the hospital is requiring that they pay it in full prior to the surgery.  Jeff and Jessica don't ask for help from anyone and its difficult for them to reach out to all of you. If there is anything you can do to help them offset the cost of this surgery so that Lilly can begin to heal it would be a huge blessing to them. 

I think I can speak for them when I say thank you from the bottom of their hearts!!
