Help 6 Year Old Liliana Fight Her Rare Cancer
It is with deep sadness that we write this about our niece, Liliana.
Liliana Sanchez, the 6 year old daughter of Josh Sanchez and Jamie Davis, was admitted to the hospital after experiencing dizziness and problems with her coordination. She was diagnosed on May 20th, 2019 with a very aggressive malignant brainstem tumor - Glioma. This form of cancer is extremely fast growing and inoperable due to its location in the brainstem.
Liliana is a first grader in the Elyria City School system with a bright and feisty personality. She loves animals and dreams of becoming a veterinarian. She is bravely facing her new reality with her 9 year old brother, Makai and her parents. The family could truly use your support and prayers to help them during these challenging times ahead.
Since her diagnosis, Liliana has had several serious procedures and biopsies that carry a risk due to the placement of the tumor in the brainstem. She will soon begin a series of radiation treatments at the Cleveland Clinic as the team of doctors and her parents work to find the best treatment plan possible. They are exploring all options, including relocating to participate in clinical trials.
We have received numerous offers of assistance to help them with all aspects of her treatment, including traveling to and from specialized children’s pediatric cancer hospitals. Josh and Jamie are unable to work while they care for Liliana as she battles this rare form of cancer. Donations of any amount would be tremendously helpful to support the family with medical bills as her treatments will be extremely expensive.
