Likewise Ranch

Likewise Ranch is intended to be an eco-friendly facility that can help charities, students & teachers, and everyone interested in both showcasing an environmentally friendly facility, eduction on creating an environmentally friendly life and home, and using it as an event space.


The name, Likewise, comes from one of my best friends who passed away from Cystic Fibrosis. It was the last word she said to me and I intend to do whatever I can to help charities (especially CFF) do whatever they can to eradicate diseases, help the environment, help animals, help........ The goal of Likewise has always been to help and we will be able to help much more with the funding of this Ranch. We have never limited who we help and have always asked for who YOU would like to support.


I want to offer others the opportunity to learn how to live an eco-friendly life without having to give up the comforts of modern life. I want to provide a place that is beautiful to people and they don't even think of it as being any different than what they are used to, except that they like it better!


Here is the plan/dream:

1. Found a place that fits the country, yet is close to the city. (just under 200 acres)
2. Grow fruits and veggies to help local schools and charities.
3. Make it "off the grid", as far as energy is concerned, and use the operation of such as a learning experience for school and other organizations.
4. Create a facility to house meetings, weddings, family reunions, etc. that is beautiful and eco-friendly, without feeling like a "facility". Using local foods, etc.
5. Number four will help to pay the bills and showcase the possibilities of being eco-friendly in today's world.
6. Offer the facilities to charities for their functions, while having them promote the facility in return.
7. Use the land for an animal rescue.
8. Schools could be invited to help teach about science and math by using the farm, power sources, etc. (real-world application)
9. Make it a place that is built and sustained with products made in the USA, as much as possible, as well as locally made and/or grown products.
10. Make a place that is a real-world solution to a "normal" situation that combines technology and current comforts with environmentally friendly living. (i.e. technologies)
11. Share everything learned in the process to help other facilities and people interested in doing the same.

This is possible! Likewise is determined to try to achieve this goal. Much help is needed to try to purchase the land, including a tremendous amount of money.
