Ma & Pa have decided to close this Go Fund Me for now.
This campaign was originally set up to assist in the raising of funds for animal rescue charity "Wollongong Animal Rescue Network " based in NSW, Australia. Life of Pikelet (www.facebook.com/LifeOfPikelet ) had pledged to donate $20,000 from sales of our charity 2017 Calendar.
Originally funds were to come out of 50% of sales. However due to a long string of unfortunate events & some last minute unprofessional and unethical treatment from our courier service provider, the Life of Pikelet family found themselves in a terrible financial situation.
With heartfelt pleas pouring in from supportive Life Of Pikers around the world, the rents (Aussie slang for "parents") have been asked via email, comments and phone calls to set up a Go Fund Me so that a little bit of help from the Life of Pikelet online pack may ease the financial hardship that has resulted here at HQ.
We must say it again…we’ve been blown away by your support and the way you rallied for us, thank you, thank you, thank you. We were feeling pretty hopeless around Christmas and you’ve helped us turn that corner now big time. On the Fastway business, there is a little way to go still and just let you know as before that we feel certainly more encouraged than we did before. We are really pleased to give you this news.
Now that more than our original fundraising goal of $22,000 has been raised and a $30,000 donation to Wollongong Animal Rescue Network has been made. It was decided that a new Go Fund Me account was to be opend for our future long term plans to open up a rescue ranch. The remaining $4,000 balance left after rescue donations and Go Fund Me fees from this fundraiser has been transfered into a savings account for our rescue ranch plans.
From the bottom of our hearts we wish to thank all those that donated to this Go Fund Me campaign. Your support and generocity have helped us through a very difficult time. We were able to follow through with our charitable commitments and value your on going support with our projects to come.
