Lexy's School Fund (vision)

My  name is Alexis Holland and I am a junior at NC School of Science and Math. I just finished my first term and it was a great blessing from God.  I have had to face a big challenge with my vision. I have exophoria and photophobia, which means I have difficulty focusing my eyes  and they are extremely sensitive to light. I can not be in rooms with electronics, I do not use a phone and have very little access to my computer.  Even with these challenges, God has blessed me to have accommodations and be able to stay at NCSSM.  My mom and dad have helped me with specialized glasses (one pair was $1000) and I have been getting Vision Therapy at Brier Creek Vision Care (so far  over $2,500) and none of it is covered by my parents' insurance.  With this investment I finished my first term with 3 A's and 2 B's!!

To finish my treatment and stay in school, I need at least 8-12 more sessions at $130 each.   I know my parents have done the best they can, stretching my sessions out over the last six months. My doctors say if I can have the sessions every week though then in 2 months I should see great improvement.  I know there are others who want to support and help me and I thank you so much.

If you can't contribute, please pray for me. I will keep you posted. I know God will provide and I have a testimony now! I know what it means now to "walk by faith and not by sight!"

(Note from Cynthia- amount increased from 8 sessions to 12 sessions per doctor's update and a new pair of glasses will be needed once her eyes improve! Again, God bless you for your generosity!)
