It's Time for our Own Venue

EDIT: Thank you to everyone that has helped us open our doors! We raised enough to cover the security deposit, as well as the costs for renovations. Every penny raised now will go towards upkeep, as well as, assisting us with paying the monthly rent & insurance. ALL of you know me - Joey Batts - whether you've laughed with me, hugged me, spent time with me in college, downtown at the old clubs, Sully's... whether you've seen me freestyle, perform, or paint, and chances are - you have supported me. THAT is why you are here. I have an AMAZING opportunity to open and run my own venue. I will take everything I've learned from the places I've been, and I will do EVERYTHING to make sure that it always feels like a home to artists, to creatives, to weirdos, to punks, to rappers, to metal heads and to the constant group of folks that feel alone and blacklisted in Connecticut, in Hartford. 

These funds will be used to cover the first few months of the rent, and the security deposit to make sure that I can open, run smoothly and give you all entertainment immediately without absorbing the brunt of the expense. 

This support is DEFINITELY needed and it is easier than you think - honestly, I am not asking for more than $20 - and if I can find 200 people that BELIEVE in this - I will be completely funded and we will have a new place to hang and listen to the music we want to make.
