<div>Alejo estaba acompañado por un niño más pequeño que, sin querer, en accidente encendió un tractor. El vehículo se activó repentinamente y atropelló a José, causándole la ruptura del apéndice y una fractura severa en la pierna.

<div>Gracias a Dios, Leonardo sobrevivió, pero fue operado de emergencia y ahora enfrenta una recuperación larga y costosa. Actualmente se encuentra hospitalizado en Jerez, en el hospital más cercano con los recursos necesarios. Tan solo la cirugía tuvo un costo de ₱150,000 pesos mexicanos, y todavía faltan gastos de hospitalización, medicamentos y terapias necesarias para su rehabilitación. Su familia no cuenta con los recursos suficientes para cubrirlo todo.

<div>We’re reaching out to ask for your help during a very difficult time. Age 16, Leonardo Delgado Velásquez was recently involved in a serious accident while in the fields of Huejúcar, Jalisco, Mexico.

<div>He was accompanied by a much younger child who accidentally started the tractor on accident. The vehicle suddenly moved and ran over José, causing his appendix to rupture and breaking his leg severely.

<div>Thankfully, Leonardo is alive and has already undergone emergency surgery. He is currently hospitalized in Jerez, the nearest hospital equipped to treat his condition. The surgery alone cost ₱150,000 Mexican pesos (approx. $8,500 USD), and there are still many more medical expenses to come—hospitalization, medications, physical therapy, and recovery care. His family simply cannot afford these costs alone.
