<div>My place burned down and I lost everything, and Lemonade Insurance Company denied my renter's insurance claim. (On a side note: it is a city ordinance that you can not have an open fire in your place of residence, in fact you can't have a fire anywhere in Chicago, I found this out because I once said I had a fire in my place, now that could be considered a misrepresentation of material facts) Well, if life serves you lemons, you make lemonade, and that is exactly what Lemonade Insurance Company did to me. They claimed to have fire and casualty insurance, but instead, they just had lemons when it came down to me filing a claim. What's more, is they claimed I misrepresented material facts. Well, I read their material, and it stated that in the event my place became uninhabitable, which they hoped it would not, but if it did, they would put us up in a hotel or a rental similar in location and cost. They would even put money in my pocket to get by on day-to-day expenses. It did not say I needed to supply receipts and post-paid invoices for hotel stays. Instead, it was a representative there who initially labeled my claim as weather event that the next day it was labeled as we sustained water damage, the next day it was ash that fell on my property and my personal belongings and personal items. I had to explain to them it was a total loss due to a fire. because Lemonade wants to state that I misrepresented material facts. They say I submitted an invoice for payment on November 1st for a November 3rd to November 14th or 17th stay in an Airbnb Corporate Playground with a picture of a property in Siberia. When in fact the email that accompanied that Airbnb stay stated and I quote, will you guys cover stay for me as I was outlining the dates I got an immediate answer from my adjuster stating that I needed to submit post paid invoices, further that I had to pay everything out of pocket and wait to get reimbursed. But every hotel stay needed to have an invoice associated with payment information that had my name on it, that no one else could pay for me to stay anywhere nor would they be reimbursed for paying for any of my hotel accommodations. Further that I had to find a hotel or place to rent or stay within a few miles of where my home was located, further it had to be comparable in price and cost, but most importantly had to be located in the general area as where my insured home was located. That was expressed to me on the phone but then it turned into I submitted an invoice for reimbursement, the location of the Hotel and the image was in Siberia which I had no idea where that image came from as it was and a screenshot of an Airbnb accommodation future reservation page. Further that the details of my whereabouts right after the fire was unclear to SIU, real special I must say as I said I went to Hotel California, a/k/a CCDOC Cook County Department of Corrections basically since I had been renendered Homeless that's what 26th and Cal is also known as. Even though I had purchased a policy as you guys stated on October 5th, 2022 with personal property and electronics loss coverage of $60,000 and loss of use coverage of $33,000. But now I've lost so much more than my personal belongings than the coverage amounts would suggest, but I've lost my protection, my safety, my sanity, and all my friends, self worth, my fiancee, my cat Keno, my drive, my determination, my mind, my freedom, I've lost time, and time again. I'm damaged, mentally, physically, emotionally, I'm broken hearted, and I'm still hurting. Further my neighbor said I was a no good piece of sh!T drug dealer, who wasn't even cartel. LEMONADE Insurance Company Special Investigations Unit confirmed with the Chicago Police Department that I was in there custody for drug possession, but really it was because of the neighbors direct verbal attacks on me and her subsequent high fiving, and cheering, that she had finally rid the neighborhood of my presence. It was further discovered that the girl I had been engaged to went off to a friend's home where she subsequently stayed so that she could learn my whereabouts and stay informed as to my charges and that my bond was $275 with a $25 processing fee. For me to go free to which I say and stayed at Hotel California for approximately 5 days after that bond hearing. All the while my Uhaul has been stolen and returned back to Uhaul by way of the Chicago P.D. I later found out that I had 2 wanted individuals residing in my place. Further it was also deemed that I was required to pay Octobers rent payment by my claims adjuster for which it was a pro-rated amount equally to about half the total rent payment but I was told I had to show proof of the 1st months rent to which I did by means of getting that information from the individual and the lease gaurentor who covered the 1st months rent plus security deposit which all went to the realtor and there commissions and with the landlord trying to back out of the rental agreement and them offering me $12,000.00 to move out by the end of the night, it was no luck in getting them to supply the proof of 1st months rent all in all because they were not obligated to, and since I was so easy to work with, I mean you tell me to jump, I say how high and then I'll just do it. Why, because I'm dumb enough to think Lemonade Insurance Company was there for me. Nope they are there for the shareholders, there employees, oh with there affiliations, and commercial success, I can find a single lawyer who would represent me and sue these guys so badly for what they are getting away with with just declining my claim oh and telling me I was at fault and that They only cover up to $100,000 in an at fault insured claim. I mean I was told that they would try and protect me from any additional claims that further exceed the $100,000 coverage but with that being said, I think there run down 2 story split level with mold, abstos, and led paint, old antiquated appliances, and me the most gullable tenant on the planet by which the neighbor from down stairs had just got done threatening me saying if anyone from my unit goes in that garage again that he may do something stupid, that he also had a gun he was a convicted felon, and more over he wasn't afraid to do something stupid, but mainly just said no one is allowed to go inside that garage besides my car, but more over I also believe he was in a relationship with the woman who owned the house and they lived just down stairs and so yeah they rented out the upstairs, but mainly they disguised there real true identities as to being the actual landlord renting out the upstairs to pay there mortgage which is what I was there initially to do but later it appears I was supposed to be the scape goat also further, I swear that the guy downstairs started a fire in that place and made it look like it was the people upstairs that did it but anyways the owner of that property made out just fine where as I'm still suffering because it is that they had bought 2- 3 years prior to Sept 2022 when I had moved in for $386,000 and and Oct 2022 (fire) the place went for rebuild and redesign and it sold last Sept 2024 for $1.7mm did just fine where as they added $1,400,000.00 to there windfall.
