Leilani’s army against Cancer

Donation protected
For almost a year now my sister Leilani has been battling Cancer. It all started with what she thought was a cyst but was actually malignant melanoma.  After two surgeries removing lymph nodes and a full round of immunotherapy, the cancer has spread into her pelvic and liver. The next course of action is a different form of immunotherapy every 3 weeks for at least the next year. My sister lives in the Dallas suburbs but travels to Houston for treatment at MD Anderson Cancer Center. With two kids (Milla 12 and Noah 8) it’s been hard on her and the family but she hasn’t let this cancer stop her. She is a warrior! Brave and strong. The only complaint she has made through all this was that after surgery she couldn’t get around enough to be the mom she is for her kids through the holidays. This is a woman that doesn’t like to sit around. She’s creates the best birthday cakes, amazing Christmas decorations and really is awesome at making memories for her kids. They are truly lucky to have her and they show it. Her and her Husband Mike work very hard and never ask for help. Mike is amazing to me. He works crazy hours and is always on business calls, always at the kids practice and games, and would do anything for his family. He makes time to care for my sister through all this and his family in Texas is always there to help. I couldn’t have found a better man for her. With all the effort and work they put into life, this cancer comes with a price tag... a hefty one at that. The 5 hour trips back and forth to Houston, hotels and dinners, deductibles and all the extra cost have been adding up. We have pulled everything we can to help but it’s been a longer road then expected. This all came out of nowhere. We have struggled as a Ohana to get this far and now we need our friends help.. Times like this you have to reach out for others to hold u up. Anything is appreciated. Your thoughts and prayers go along way as well. Thank you all for taking the time to read this and if you find it in your heart and can help, my Ohana will always be grateful. Thank you all and love you guys.
