Leighton's Story
On Thursday June 23rd about 1:00pm, Leighton was long boarding in Delano, MN. While crossing the cross walk he was struck by a vehicle. He is in critical condition currently at HCMC hospital. He is suffering from multiple fractures on his neck and back, a brain bleed as well as air on his brain. He has lacerations to his face, blown ear drum, double concussion and a fractured leg. They are currently checking the clear fluid from his ears to make sure he is not leaking spinal fluid from the brain injury, as well as dropped sodium levels.
As we know this will require his mother to miss sometime from work and would like the HLWW and Wright County Community to come forward and help with the medical bills and time his family will need to help him recover.
