Theta Chi Omega's Legendary Project

The Legendary Project was established in 2011 by our sister Shevy. The sisters of Theta Chi Omega get together every month and pile up in one of our kitchens so we can make home cooked meals and then we get out and deliver them in the streets of Chicago. We always have held fundraisers and taken donations from sisters so we could buy all the food. On average we are able to feed 25 people a month with $20. Our last meal was grilled chicken, Mac n cheese, garlic bread, granola bars, and water. We also include forks, water bottles, napkins, mints, and notes of encouragement. The 'hot spots' we go to in Chicago have lately been increasing with numbers of homeless and we want to keep up with it so we don't go to a spot with less food than people. The $500 we put as our goal was a number that we found would feed 50 people per month for an entire year. If we have more money we would love to have the Legendary Project happen more than once a month!
