As all of you know, I love Nikita with all of my heart and being. With that, believe me when I say the situation we're in has been causing serious pain and trauma for both her and I...
The other day, Nikita suffered 10 seizures within less than 24 hours. With the help of some incredible friends, we facilitated as much as humanly possible while I took her in for an intense check up to see what was wrong. Outer cranial scans and blood work all came back as inconclusive. Which leads us down a darker path...
As of now, we are left with either a serious, deep rooted neurological epilepsy or a brain tumor as probable causes of her seizures. Because of this, I will need to get her an MRI, which is far from cheap ($3,500 - $5000)... But I will stop at nothing to fix her as she is my life. She is my daughter. I can NOT give up on my kid. She is not herself right now, not since the last seizure but I remain hopeful that she will snap out of it and be her usual, happy self... But losing that hope, giving up: It isn't even an option. The situation is very difficult also since she needs to be monitored at all times right now, and because of that I can't work as much. I can't do this alone. I have been trying and I have to admit it to myself. I can't do this alone and I CAN NOT lose my baby girl... I wouldn't know what to do with myself.
So, as I truly hate asking, any financial help will keep this fight alive. She is on anti-convulsant meds which will rack up $210 a month alone. On top of the $600+ it has already costed for initial tests. The tests and medication won't stop any time soon, and I will do what is necessary to get her the help she needs.
I hate this. I truly do. This has been absolute torture and trauma for the both of us and I hate feeling so defeated... I love her so much and I need to be strong for her... She needs a support system. Please, I need help and I don't know where else to turn...
