Lake Isabella Fire Horse Victims

We are Animal Guardians Horse Rescue, registered 501(c)3 public non-profit horse rescue in Simi Valley, CA. Please help us save our angel Adopter, Karen, and 2 of her adopted rescue horses, Timber (Brodie) and Reno, from the Lake Isabella fire. She has lost her home and all of her belongings. She hand-walked these senior geldings 5 miles to Kernville for temporary safe haven while she is staying at the Red Cross Shelter until they open the roads and she can get out to live with her son.

We are in need of immediate funds to pay for transport back to our rescue in Simi Valley, as well as hay, feed, immediate veterinary care (the horses were scalded and ingested ash and are in need of immediate medical attention), and soft shavings for these horses to be comfortable.

Timber is 25+ years and lame. Reno is 20+ years and terrified. Karen is in a very bad situation and desperately needs our help. We have offered to board her horses at our rescue for free, and give her a room in our house to live with us.

She has lost all of her chickens & cats, and another dog. The only remaining family she has is her dog and these 2 rescue horses she adopted from us.

Please help us help her. All donations are tax-deductible. We need the funds immediately. This means so much to us to be able to keep our rescue horses safe in the face of this tragedy, and to help our adopter hold it all together. We are eternally grateful for any and all help that comes.
