Hello! My name's Lauren Zuke and I'm a cartoonist from Connecticut. You probably know me from such works as Rachael & Penny, the webcomic about a rockstar (or pirates?) and a bunch of hot fanart.
Recently I was offered an AMAZING opportunity to work as a full time artist on something SUPER cool (and secret, for now!) but it's all the way on the west coast and I'm all the way here on the east coast. You can bet that I have been pretty much non-stop excited about this neat thing (but in a really professional, cool way) and I wanna do everything I can to make sure I get out there.
I work a retail day job at a toy store and live paycheck to paycheck helping my dad and brother out, so unfortunately I don't have enough in savings to make the move to California right away.
So, I have a bunch of neat art that I wanna draw for you in exchange for helping me out!

What would the $950 go towards?
$75 for a monthly TAP card (I use public transit)
$850 for a deposit on a room share (assuming the cheapest room possible)
$100 for a month of food
$200 for a plane ticket
But that comes out to way more than $950.
I'm fortunate enough to have enough in savings to at the very least cover plane and food!
When will I get my commission?
Digital commissions will be finished by the end of April, while shipped items will take a bit longer while I settle in. Expected delivery date is June 2014.
What will the HANGOUT THX entail?
Using Google Hangout, I'll stream while I draw digitally and for an entire hour you can ask me whatever you want about art or my webcomic or life (within reason...) while I also draw for you whatever you want (also within reason...) This is the best award tier because I'm cool and bad at keeping spoilers!
I don't want any art. I just want to help out.
