Homegoing for our beloved Laura

Donation protected
On Monday, February 19th Laura was rushed to the ER because she was suffering from a very severe headache and was admitted to the hospital later on that night.  After several tests were performed, the doctors came to the conclusion that her blood was infected by the Streptococcus pneumoniae bacteria which grew rapidly and progressed to meningitis.  Despite how aggresive the infection was, Laura fought as hard as she could but eventually succumbed to her illness 5 days after being admitted.  Laura lost the battle on Friday February 23rd.

Laura leaves behind a fiance', whom she planned to marry on St. Patrick's Day next month, two young sons, a daughter and two grandchildren.  Due to this being so unexpected, the family is left to prepare the final arrangements in a short amount of time due to her mother and siblings residing in Tennessee.  The funeral will be held next Saturday on March 3rd, however Laura's family is forced to leave now  and come back on that date due to work obligations.  This puts a strain on them finacially because they are making the trip to Ohio twice within a week and a half.

Laura was loved greatly and was the most genuine person you could ever meet.  Once you were in her presence, you immediately felt her warm loving spirit embrace you.  From that point on, your life was forever changed.  If I had to describe my sister in one word, it would be "fighter."   Laura's last moments and the fought she fought is the perfect way to depict the strength she possessed within.  She fought hard for those she loved.  This is such a sudden devastating loss so we want to make it as stress free as possible for the family with no worries regarding final arrangements for her.  We want to make sure the family is  able to focus on the life she lived and the legacy she leaves behind at this difficult time.

The funds that we are asking for will go towards travel and lodging for her family as they travel back to Tennessee after traveling back to Ohio a second time to lay Laura to rest, funeral costs, money to let her fiance grieve before he steps into this role of living life with their children without Mom and the rest would go into a savings account for her children.  We know that times are hard for everyone but we would appreciate all the help we could get, rather your donation be small or large, every penny counts!  We are hoping to reach our goal of $5,000 by Friday, March 2nd.  Thank you so much for all your donations in advance.
