Lauren's 22nd Birthday Make-A-Wish

When you're a cancer surivor, birthdays are a big deal. This year for my birthday I want to do something powerful. My goal is to raise $220 in honor of my 22nd birthday. This $220 will be donated to the Make-A-Wish foundation on April 21. Your donation big or small, will help children with life-threatning illnesses. These Make-A-Wish experiences and memories, give children the strength and courage to continue fighting their battle. Please join me in giving back to a foundation that gives children hope, strength and the gift of extra-ordinary life experiences.

Cancer is an experience that defined who I am as a survior. I don't think of it as an experience that stripped me of my identity or other life experiences. I think of it as an experience that enriched my soul by creating a strong, caring and giving woman. I have watched my younger sister go through the "cancer process", and I myself have endured the "cancer process". Being children with life-threating illnesses, my sister and I were both granted Make-A-Wish trips. My sisters wish to go to Disney World and my wish to go to New York City. These memories and experiences wouldn't have been possible without the donations of people just like you.
