Daniel Papas is a 45 yr-old, combat veteran that has been victim to the recent devastating fires in WA state taking his barn and all 6-acres of fencing.

Daniel is a 100% service-connected disabled combat veteran that continues to serve his community through accountability and commitment to those in need of assistance. Two weeks ago, a transformer on a neighboring power pole exploded, catching his property, as well as many others’ properties on fire, burning miles of agricultural fencing to the ground. Due to the homeowners insurance policy not covering fencing, and structures “not on foundation”, such as his horse barn and tack room, he is now left wondering how he is going to pay to re-fence his 6 acre property to keep his horses on site.
To make matters worse, Daniel had a stroke in Aug 2020 that completely immobilized him for the weeks leading up to the fire. He remains hopeful he will regain his vision from the stroke but is both angered and depressed that insurance is not able to help restore the property he purchased earlier this year to retire and live out his life.
We are asking for financial assistance to compensate approx. 2100 lineal feet of horse fence and materials to rebuild the horse barn that was half-burned from the fire, that insurance will not cover.
