WHAT IS LILLY’S LEMONADE STAND?
Hi! My name is Lilly, and I’m 9 years old. I’m the CLS (Chief Lemon Squeezer) of Lilly’s Lemonade Stand. I started Lilly’s Lemonade Stand because I wanted to raise money for Ovarian Cancer Research. I asked my awesome friends Izzy, Lucy, and Romey to join my cause.
In September, which is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, we set up a lemonade stand in my neighborhood and raised $411. We made a GoFundMe page for friends and family who couldn’t come by the stand, and raised an additional $425! We were super excited when GoFundMe asked us to to be a part of its Kid Heroes Campaign! Now we hope to raise even more money for Ovarian Cancer Research.
WHY OVARIAN CANCER RESEARCH?
No one in my family knew much about Ovarian Cancer until my Granny Lucy was diagnosed with Stage IV Ovarian Cancer several years ago. That’s right Stage IV!! The doctors didn’t catch it sooner because there isn’t a test that screens for Ovarian Cancer and because its symptoms don’t really show up in the early stages.
After a lot of chemo, a huge surgery, and a lot more chemo, Granny Lucy stayed cancer free for almost two and a half years. This September, Granny Lucy’s cancer came back, but thanks to research, there are new medicines that can help her fight harder against Ovarian Cancer.

Lilly's Lemonade Stand wants to help my Granny and other women who are or will be diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer get and stay cancer free! To do that, we need: MORE RESEARCH to find a way to detect Ovarian Cancer sooner, MORE RESEARCH to find even better MEDICINES to treat Ovarian Cancer, and MORE RESEARCH to find a CURE for Ovarian Cancer!

WHERE WILL YOUR MONEY GO?
100% of the money raised will be give to the Sally Tillmanns Ovarian Cancer Research Fund at the West Cancer Center. Dr. Todd Tillmanns, my Granny’s super smart and amazing doctor, started the Fund in memory of his mother who passed away from Ovarian Cancer.
