Lake Divide Farm Maternity Leave Fund

Ahoy! The friends of Lake Divide Farm want to give farmers Jim and Helen the opportunity to bond with the newest and littlest member of their farm, expected to arrive sometime in August.

Last year, Jim was finally able to have a long-needed surgery. But, this left the small, organic farm a little more strained than usual and Helen scrambling while complications plagued Jim.

Then, a miracle! Helen was pregnant!

Let's face it, Helen is a badass farmher and kept it together all the while. But then, add COVID, an unusually late frost, a labor shortage, and an insanely wet July into the mix. In 2021 the stress of keeping a farm/small business together, working a physically demanding job, all while growing a tiny human being, is... a lot.

We know the Neumanns will be excellent parents and, all parents deserve and NEED time to bond with their baby and recover from the strain put on both of their bodies and minds.

It takes a village, right! So, this village, a community of small-farm supporters, is asking you to donate to the Neumann family.

These donations will enable them to skip a farmer's market (their lifeblood) and not be financially impacted. It also gives them time and peace of mind to bond with their baby and maybe raise another badass farmer.
