Hi! My name is Luke Bowser. I am 13 and in 7th grade. I am the grandson of a Vietnam Veteran. I want to raise $4500.00 to go to Vietnam with My Mom at the end of July, 2014.

I didn't get to meet my Grandpa Morris because he passed away two years before I was born. My Grandpa was exposed to Agent Orange when he in the Army serving in the Vietnam War from 1968-1969. He died young because of his exposure to Agent Orange.

When I found out my Mom was going to Vietnam again with other kids and grandkids of Vietnam Veterans from the United States and Australia, I decided I would like to go too and would help her raise money for our trip. I enjoy history class at school and I want to learn more about the Vietnam War and Agent Orange. My Mom has been to Vietnam three times. She goes to meet other kids who have birth defects like her. She also works to try to get the kids of Vietnam Veterans here in the U.S. help.

I'm just a regular 7th grader, I've never traveled so far away before. I still need to get my passport! The Vietnam War is a part of my family history. I want to learn more about it than just by reading books. Here's a picture of me and my dog

My Mom only has one leg. She's not like a lot of other Moms out there. She is also missing some of her fingers too. She was born that way and my Grandpa Morris believed it was caused by his exposure to Agent Orange. March 11th is the 16th anniversary of my Grandpa's death. I would like my mom to be happier on that day knowing we are well on our way to making our goal.
